After banding together at the tour yesterday, we've become fast friends with Jung and Asrar of Dallas, Texas, and accept their invitation to breakfast at their hotel. Jang is a software engineer from Korea, so we think alike and connect on many things, while Asrar has almost completed her biology degree, on top of being linguistically gifted, also has many similarities with Isa.

Mmm, breakfast.
They're leaving this evening, so wanted to enjoy the hotel amenities before they go, and our cool company would make it even better.
Breakfast buffet, private pool, private beach. Turns out this place use to be the Ritz Carlton.

Beach cabanas, blazing white sand, still plenty of seaweed, and a hell of a surf break on this steep beach made for a wonderful recovery day. The crashing waves were a bit of a struggle at times, but the ever attentive staff were there to refresh my drink and keep me going.
A good couple hours on the beach without the (literal) hustle and bustle of down town has been amazing.
We visit a bougie restautant nearby for some great food, a hookah, and part ways with promises of reconnecting one day in eachother's country.
We'll chill at our hotel and plan the last... the last... wow were down to the last 8 days here. Some combination of Talum and Isla Majeres is on the cards.
