Exploring Coyoacán

We find a huge market and manage to avoid the worst of the tourist trap stories, such as things made by the sellers families, uniqueness, etc. It's the same stuff every other stall!
Still, plenty of cool, colourful stuff.
We found some trinkets we liked and moved on towards the fountain.

On the way, we come across a grand church, the Church of San Juan Bautista.
Not so grand though was paying 10 pesos to use the poo filled toilet! Isa is a real trooper though.

The fountain is nearby, and looks super cool (if not refreshing). I wasn't keen to get in the water, but Isa was all for it.
The bronze coyote are a tribute to the areas namesake, Coyoacán - the place of many coyote, and symbolizes the importance of the coyote as well as the magical properties some still associate with them.

We're distracted on our way to the park by a catus garden and huge plant emporium.

We round up the day with some snacks and finish up a few more bookings for Cancún. Tomorrow is a big day with the Pyramid and Museum tours booked, meaning an early night tonight.

Thank God its cooler than last night already. 10 pesos well spent after all.
